Atif Aslam has seeked advice of his fans on facebook that either he should act in an Indian flick or not. The artists’ lobby has regarded this step by Atif to be a mean of fame. The Atif Aslam’s anti lobby says that why does Atif remembers his fans so suddenly. He should better have taken this step when he was going India for play back singing but then atif could see great commercial advantage that is primarily the reason that he did not seek advice. But now as he is himself refraining from acting in a bollywood flick, he has left this decision upon his fans and has tried to be clever so that if he fails in bollywood, he can put all the lame on his fans that this was not his decision but he was helpless at the hands of his fans

Exactly... I mailed them up saying the same thing but din get a reply...! and secondly he din ask us for the bollywood movie... he himself said that he not willing to go for a bollywood movie and earn an image of a chocolate hero huh huh huh

Atif Aslam

Our boy wonder has finally broken into the Bollywood circuit and is now considered to be very popular there. Back in 2005, two remixes, those of Woh Lamhe and of Aadat from his debut album Jalpari, became soundtracks for Bollywood films Zeher and Kalyug, respectively.

Atif’s career then followed a string of hits in Bollywood which included Tere Bin (Buss Aik Pal, 2006), Pehli Nazar Mein (Race, 2008), Bakhuda Tumhi Ho (Race, 2008) among others. He’s contributed to a little more than 10 Bollywood films and is currently working on the soundtrack of the upcoming Shoaib Mansoor film Bol, for which he is coming out with two singles, one of which will see a collaboration with Annie Princess. — M.S.

Atif Aslam Leaves Khudai For Tere Liye

It seems Atif had been ‘Losing His Religion’ for a bit of fame. Or was it a bit? Perhaps, he did. There are always two schools of thoughts when it comes to controversies. One, for and one, against. We can rest assured leave the controversy to the controversial minds and go forward in reviewing a rather cynical review to this song “Tere Liye”. A little story before we jump in blindfolded in Atif’s Bollywood venture that is Tere Liye.
When it was learned that Atif had finally landed a deal with TIPS and ventured out to do a song for Bollywood it was excitement but then emerged the much thrashed lyrics of the song. To many it was not acceptable. The words that Atif had uttered in his tune. Not that Atif has a great tune either but then it’s His tune. Unlike ‘Meekal Hasan Bandmaster’, who had a loser’s view about making songs with Bollywood that he shared with a local paper, Atif did indeed take the step – leaving ‘Meekal Bandmaster’ sulking at his non-existent talent. So Atif did take the lead! After the controversy regarding Atif’s song made big news, rumours came in about the recording company doing some editing jobs on the lyrical end. And finally the edited version of Tere Liye emerged. This is what we have on our studio monitors playing for the time being. One very tricky part though. The song that has been released as the official video is not edited. It has the same lyrics. That is marketing at its best. What’s next? Read on for the review.

Chor di khudai mein nay tere liye adds a sultry sensual voice talking about getting intoxicated by the love of the other. This is what the controversy was and still is. But the official song and video are out and these lyrics, well, are still part of it. Interesting!
Word of advice: Keep young children away from this video !
Infact we are having real fun watching the video and listening to the track. Not to forget that musically it is a very sound production. It only messes up in the lyrics department.
The track is a basic club dance genre with expansive thuds of a good kick sound. Remember what we love most? The foot tapping reaction. It has this. Spiced up with multi-layered vocals this comes across as a track a lot of effort must have gone into its making. It’s a straight-in-your-face adrenaline sensual track. Talking about sensuality in the video we see Vivek at his best making going haywire for a lady and the lady, well, the lady is the marketing part of the song. Gyrations and pole dancing techniques put together with desi fervour and a weak dose of sashes you may classify as clothes. Excellent work! Not much we would say. The entire populace is saying what they feel like and half of them are not even wrong. The song has hit a mess-meter. What becomes controversial becomes popular. Good for Atif he made a deal and well, while his career would have ultimately come to a fading end he managed to somewhat create a stir. Be it bad. Badnaam Na Hon Gy Tu Kya Naam Na Ho Ga?
